Reippi Museum

Reippi Museum Offers Authentic Rural Atmosphere

At Reippi Museum, you can take a small journey through the local history of Pirkkala and experience vibrant rural culture.

The museum hill comprises three granaries, a double barn, a blacksmith’s forge, and a shed. The local history museum’s collection consists mainly of peasant artifacts from the late 1800s and early 1900s. Reippi also houses a school museum collection that tells the story of schooling in the old days.

Pirkkala Society founded Reippi Museum in 1960. It was transferred to the ownership of the municipality of Pirkkala in 1976.

The museum is located in the Reipinniemi outdoor area, a few kilometers from the center of Pirkkala and Tampere-Pirkkala Airport. The journey to Reipinniemi is conveniently made either by car or using the pedestrian and bicycle path.

During the summer, various events are held in the museum area, such as the Iron Age Birckala.
