Birckala – Ancient Times

Ancient times come alive in Pirkkala – or Birckala in olden times – all year round.

The archaeological dig of the late Iron Age dwellings in Tursiannotko, Pirkkala, in 2012–2019 was the most extensive archaeological research project carried out in Pirkanmaa in a long time. These discoveries in Tursiannotko inspired a boom of history hobbies in Pirkkala.
